I have to admit that initially I was a bit skeptical about the effectiveness of acupuncture.

I was amazed at how much better I felt after just two treatments. Acupuncture was curing ailments that I had not intended to treat including neck and back pain. Gao and Jing have been very professional and informative.

Both my husband and father are now new patients at New Realm Acupuncture Center.

I was referred to New Realm Acupuncture Center by my family doctor when I was having trouble with neck pain. I made an appointment with New Realm, while waiting to see the doctor I read this pamphlet on acupuncture that it could also help baldness. I was interested because I have been bald for years. I decided to ask the doctor to include this treatment for baldness along with the treatment of my neck pain. I’m glad I did because my neck pain is much better and I have hair coming in on my head. Having had acupuncture treatment before coming to New Realm, I thought I had a good idea what to expect. I was however very surprised at the very caring and friendly attention provided by both Xuguang and Jing. I am especially impressed by their level of communication to each patient, and how much time they take to explain you treatment and new methods of care, that I had been unfamiliar with. I have found their method to be pain free and very effective at controlling any symptoms I come in with. I have had neck problems for almost two years. I spent a year in physical therapy and had no relief. The pain was so bad. I was told by a neurologist I should get Botox, but I didn’t want to put poison in my body. I decided to try acupuncture. It has been a miracle for me. Almost immediately the tightness in my neck and shoulder muscles was gone. And the pain was gone immediately too. It has been a huge relief. The people here at new realm are professional and kind. I never feel pain or discomfort. It is awesome.

I had polio at age four and now suffer from Post Polio Syndrome, which basically means that my weakened muscles from Polio are now wearing out. This is a painful condition with various muscle groups hurting most of the time. If I had not found acupuncture, I don’t know what I would have done. I had tried physical therapy, used a tens unit, and took strong pain pills and nothing seemed to help. After just one acupuncture treatment, the tight, sore muscles in my neck and shoulders were loosened up and the pain was gone. I felt like crying because I had finally found some relief. I would highly recommend acupuncture for muscle pain and I would highly recommend Dr. GAO and his wife Jing at New Realm Acupuncture Center. They are both very caring and compassionate people.

In Dec. 1999 I had my right knee replaced. My left knee was giving the same pain when I walked. Upon visiting my daughter Beth in Ohio she told me how much acupuncture was helping her back. After six sessions of acupuncture, my left knee feels better to the point where it does not hurt when I walk. My sinus seems to be clearing after years of stuffiness.

Jing and Gao were helpful in scheduling my appointments for my short stay in Ohio.

My name is Joyce Mitchell. I am 52 yrs old. I need knee replacement surgery due to an early childhood injury. The cartilage in my knee is almost worn out. I have experienced excruciating pain when bone contacts bone. In early September 2004 it was so bad I could not walk without crying. New Realm Acupuncture has been treating me with acupuncture since that time. Their treatments have left me pain free. I highly recommend New Realm Acupuncture. They are very skilled at inserting the needles in the proper places and without discomfort. I experiences great relief after the first visit. Additional treatments have improved my condition even further. I am hoping to use acupuncture to avoid getting this knee replacement surgery at least until I am older or until a better; less invasive remedy is available.

I chose acupuncture to relieve my pain because the doctors were not helping nor was the medicine they prescribed. I had learned about acupuncture from the various learning channels and decided to give it a try. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

After suffering with painful spasms associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), I decided to give acupuncture a try. The pain was so bad it felt like a knife stabbed into my lower left abdomen. The first few treatments helped take the edge off my pain. I am aware that my daily stress affects my IBS directly. Now after a few months of weekly acupuncture I have stretches of several days with no pain. I get an occasional spasm but not anything like the pain I dealt with prior to treatment. Also I have not had to take medication for the IBS that has awful side effects.

Most recently I have had the Moxa treatments for my chronic sinusitis. My first treatment had me breathing free with no congestion immediately.

I would recommend acupuncture for anyone dealing with chronic pain. New Realm Acupuncture has helped me tremendously!

All started five years ago when my son was born I began having constipation and insomnia problems. Like many others I visited several Doctors from general to specialists. Every single one performed multiple tests and studies on me and unfortunately none of them were able to find a cure or even a reason for my symptoms. It wasn’t until I decided to try a holistic approach that finally got my answer to all my health problems. I looked for the best acupuncturist in Columbus area and I found the New Realm.

Since my first session with Jing I began to feel immediate relieve to all my symptoms, week after week I was getting better. After 2 months, give and take, I can tell I’m completely cure with no health problems whatsoever, my chronic constipation is completely gone, I sleep like a baby and my general health and energy is back. For More Than 20 Years, I had been suffering from insomnia, and my condition got worse in the past 1 year. My average sleep hour was between 1 to 3 hours daily with prescription pills for insomnia and anxiety. But in the morning I still felt tired, irritate because of lack of sleep, and every nigh before bed I had anxiety attack just to think that I won’t be able to sleep.

About 3 weeks ago my primary Doctor refer me to the Sleeping disorder clinic, I stayed over night. They also refer me to Psychologist to treat my conditions, and nothing worked.

Then I decided to try acupuncture, and after the first treatment there was little difference, but after the third treatment I noticed an incredible improvement in my condition, I have not had a sleeping pill since then.

I highly recommend New Realm Acupuncture for any person that has insomnia problems.

I was only able to sleep a couple of hours each night because there was so much on my mind. The worry of whether or not I’d be able to sleep at night added to the vicious cycle I was experiencing. New Realm Acupuncture (NRA) was recommended to me by a co-worker. For a while I was very skeptical about acupuncture. I finally got enough courage to try NRA because I did not want to take medications for the rest of my life.

My doctor and also an endocrinologist had diagnosed me with possible hyperthyroidism and had mentioned that I may have to take medications. Simultaneously my husband and I were trying to have another child which made it a little more difficult for us to conceive because of the imbalance hormones. Within 5 to 6 weeks of going to New Realm Acupuncture Center my thyroid (via blood tests) were normal and I was pregnant.

Its been over a year since my initial visit to New Realm and I am a firm believer of acupuncture as I visit New Realm Acupuncture for various heath concerns.

My husband and I came to Dr. Gao and Jing for fertility treatment in November 2007. We had been trying to conceive for about 2.5 years and suffered through an ectopic pregnancy. I was nervous about acupuncture because of my fear of needles. However, I felt minimal pressure during the treatments and would gladly choose these 30-min sessions over all the procedures and drugs that I had planned to start in Feb 2008. New Realm Acupuncture incorporated acupuncture treatments also for my chronic colitis. We did not have much expectation, only hoped that acupuncture would help make my body healthier to either improve our chances of conceiving naturally or increase our odds of success with future fertility treatments.

Much to our surprise, we conceived one week after we began acupuncture and I was in remission for my colitis. We are very happy and cannot express enough gratitude to Dr. Gao and Jing for this small miracle of natural conception, for not having to endure the side effects, mental stress, and financial burden associated with fertility treatments. Everyone responds differently to treatments and we are lucky to have this experience. Thank you very much for your kindness, true healing spirit, and for showing us the power of acupuncture.

My husband and I had been trying to conceive our first child for two years. Traditional therapy/ medication did nothing. We’ve had two failed pregnancies but we hadn’t been able to conceive for the last 6 years. We’d tried clomid and intrauterine insemination but because of low progesterone and other hormone problems nothing worked. Doctors told us our only option was in-vitro fertilization. We were unhappy with that diagnosis so we sought other options. We lucked up and found New Realm Acupuncture Center. I was immediately diagnosed and after only 4 or 5 treatments, we found out we were pregnant!! We couldn’t be happier. My husband and I had been trying to have a baby for 6 years before I decided to try acupuncture.

After many tests, the doctors could find nothing wrong with my husband and I. After numerous tries with different medications and procedures, with no results, it was time to move onto IVF. We did two IVF treatments without a positive result.

We decided we would try one last time, with a new Doctor in Cincinnati. We knew this was pretty much our last chance, so I started researching the benefits of acupuncture when used with ART cycles.

I started seeing New Realm Acupuncture Center two times a week about one month before my third attempt at IVF.

I could tell there were positive changes going on inside my body. By the time we were ready to start another cycle, I felt so calm and at peace, hardly ever felt stressed, and felt great physically too.

The next cycle was 100% different, although I was on the same medication protocol. I found out a couple weeks later, the cycle had worked and I was finally pregnant with our first child Parker in 2004.

I continued having acupuncture (in 2007) to try and conceive a second time, a couple weeks ago, we found out we were expecting again!

I can’t say for sure that it was the acupuncture that finally made our dreams come true, but since I could physically feel the changes in my body… I have a very strong suspicion that without it, my babies wouldn’t be possible.

I have a serious auto-immune disorder that affects my retina, skin and nervous system. The western doctors have treated me with steroids and immune-suppressant medicine. I have had tremendous pain and loss of sensation in my hands and feet.

Dr. Lu an Asian Doctor where I work, suggested I go to New Realm. I was afraid to come to acupuncture! I knew nothing about it! But I found great comfort in Gao and Jing’s kindness and professionalism. Soon I was coming for twice weekly, and now weekly treatments. I am feeling much better! Due to my job, I am in a very high stress life. This situation came to a head in Feb. 2004, namely very high blood pressure. I was dreading beginning the traditional treatment, B.P. drugs, and looking for an alternative (New Realm Acupuncture Center). Currently, although I do have to take B.P. drugs, I have found that acupuncture helps greatly with my stress. I am happy to augment the traditional treatment with a procedure that addresses one of the root causes, rather than just the symptoms, as is the case with drug.

Acupuncture brings stress relief and a feeling of relaxation.
