I had been to a chiropractor for 8 months and to Swedish massage for over 1 year, but it did not work for my shoulder pain.

Now, I am happy with amazing acupuncture result.

Having had acupuncture treatment before coming to New Realm, I thought I had a good idea what to expect. I was however very surprised at the very caring and friendly attention provided by both Xuguang and Jing. I am especially impressed by their level of communication to each patient, and how much time they take to explain you treatment and new methods of care, that I had been unfamiliar with. I have found their method to be pain free and very effective at controlling any symptoms I come in with. New Realm is where I will continue to come first, and I feel very fortunate to have found them.

After trying everything for my sore neck, back and shoulder (chiropractic, pain pills, stretching, massages, yoga etc.). I finally decided to give acupuncture a try – what a difference! Going to New Realm has become my favorite part of the week. I go in feeling tense, tired and stressed-and leave relaxed, calm and energized! My teeth were sore, my bite was off, and my pain made me very uncomfortable. My dentist said try an acupuncturist: “I treat only part of you; he will treat all of you”.

My teeth, sinuses, back pain, shoulder pain, and any pain I am unable to think of has been relieved. New Realm Acupuncture has been an answer to many discomforts. They are caring and listening couple that want to get you onto the road of recovery.

I came to New Realm Acupuncture to treat sciatica. My Doctor told me to stay off my leg and wanted me to take anti-inflammatory pills. He said it could take months or even surgery to get rid of the pain and regain normal movement. I saw a patient being treated for sciatica with acupuncture on my favorite TV show and did some research on the internet. This is how I found New Realm. Their website is incredibly informative. It explains from start to finish how acupuncture works and about New Realm Acupuncture’s experience so I decided to give it a try.

I was nervous on my first visit as needles are not my favorite however, I was pleasantly surprised. You are always welcomed warmly into the office and everything that will happen is explained to you. New Realm Acupuncture will ask how the pain is and will apply pressure to certain areas. Once New Realm Acupuncture decides where to place the needles your job is to relax. For me it is my time away from everything in my busy life. He will insert the needles, which does not feel how you would expect. The needles are very small and you get a feeling of pressure when they are inserted. Almost like a finger is pressing on that spot.

From this point on relaxing is your job. It feels as though an electric current is going through my leg. It is an invigorating feeling that is relaxing at the same time. New Realm Acupuncture comes in to “turn” the needles every few minutes and to check on you. As the needles are “turned” you feel more of a pressure on that point. Overall the only pain I ever felt was from my leg and not from a needle.

Once it is time for the needles to be removed New Realm Acupuncture will explain what is happening. When all the needles are out of your body he will let you know. At that point you get ready to leave the office. On your way out they will again check on you to see how you are feeling. After scheduling your next appointment you are on your way. Once I leave the office I tend to get the feeling of the current going through my leg anytime I am lying down. It is a relaxing feeling and I can tell the pain is lessening.

The pain in my leg has decreased by about 90% at this point and I have been to New Realm for 5 treatments. I will be continuing to see New Realm Acupuncture for now. They go out of their way to take care of you by checking on you and reminder calls for appointments. They are a very caring, professional office and I would recommend them to anyone seeking acupuncture treatment.

I started coming to New Realm Acupuncture in November of 2004. I had already visited my chiropractor several times for a sciatica nerve problem in my leg. I had been in extreme pain for about six weeks. My chiropractor admitted she could not help.

At the advice of a friend I started regular visits with New Realm Acupuncture. After the first visit there was such an improvement I could not figure out why my leg felt so different. On the drive home I realized a lot of the pain was gone. After three treatments the sciatica nerve problem was almost completely corrected.

I continue to come to New Realm Acupuncture on a regular basis, every two to three weeks. He continues to treat me for lower back problems and extreme stress. I have found the more stressful my work environment is, the more issues I have with lower back problems. By continuing to have treatments, my stress level and lower back problems have been greatly improved.

Several weeks ago, I made an appointment at New Realm Acupuncture Center for my pain. I had constant pain in my groin, hip and back. After approximately seven visits, my pain was completely gone. I am now able to move and walk without the pain at all. I am able to enjoy doing the things that I was not able to do before.

I had rosacea for years, had been treated by many doctors and dermatologists, but they could not help me.

A couple of weeks ago I was unfortunate enough to get poison ivy without even stepping foot into the woods. I have been receiving treatment from New Realm Acupuncture for a year on my back and other miscellaneous areas of my body. So I figured why not inquire about the poison ivy because New Realm Acupuncture seems to be able to fix anything. By this time that poison ivy had spread all over my body and I was covered from head to toe. New Realm Acupuncture treated me for the poison ivy and it went away within the week. I was surprised because I had never gotten the same results from Benadry1 and other over the counter creams.

I would recommend acupuncture to anyone who has any kind of issue with his or her body because chances are New Realm Acupuncture could treat it.

I have suffered from severe menstrual cramps a few days before and during my period since I was a teenager. I have had two surgeries to alleviate endometriosis both of which lessened my cramps for a few months but they eventually grew back to their original severity. I began taking an anti-inflammatory to control the pain in my early-twenty’s and assumed I would continue to do so until menopause.

I began visiting New Realm for other issues and was astounded and pleasantly surprised when the treatments all but eliminated the menstrual cramps that have visited me four or five days a month for over 20 years. I would never have believed it had I not experienced it for myself.

Welcome to your adventure in acupuncture.

We each have come to New Realm Acupuncture with a specific problem – pain from an accident or injury, limitations of our physical abilities, or a specific medical problem tha has not responded well to traditional American medicine.

Our expectations have been shaped by our culture’s instant gratification … hungry? Solution: fast food. Headache? Solution: pop a pill.

Traditional Chinese Medicine treats not just the specific problem, but if permitted, will treat the entire person in ways that are nothing short of miraculous.

I came to New Realm Acupuncture using a cane. When I walked, it was slow, painful, and I was looking at the ground. I had to lift my head to see straight in front of me. I was taking a narcotic 4 times a day, blood pressure medicine, a muscle relaxant 4 times a day, and an anti – inflammatory. The side effects were many: mental fog, tiredness, lack of energy, inability to focus and still and always the PAIN.

I started with acupuncture 3 times a week, then twice a week, then weekly, then every three weeks.

It took time, sometimes it felt as if nothing was happening, but gradually the PAIN became pain, always became sometimes, then seldom, then only if I over stressed.

Today, less than a year later, I do not use a cane. I walk normally and even rapidly if I choose. I have good posture. I do not take a narcotic. I do not take blood pressure medicine or muscle relaxants. I take an anti-inflammatory only if I overstress. I am alert and I can focus. I can walk to the back of a store, I can skip for hours if I want and I can enjoy. I walk several miles a day. I garden. I crawl around in the dirt. I exercise. And, did I mention? I have been and continue to lose weight. By the way, I am not 25 or 30 years old. I am 65.

People who have not seen me for several months are amazed. They say I look younger. I smile and tell the truth. The benefits of acupuncture can be many and life changing.

I cannot thank New Realm Acupuncture, Dr. Gao, and my wonderful friend and guide for my acupuncture adventure, Jing enough.

I am sure that you are thinking I am finished with my treatments. I am not. Ongoing periodic treatments are not just maintenance but continue to provide unexpected benefits. My hair was starting to thin- now it is thick and full; the dark circles under my eyes that I have had since childhood – are starting to fade and are no longer visible in a photo.

I just wanted to thank you, again, for helping me move beyond the intense pain I felt when I developed shingles this past summer.

I had excruciating nerve pain in my leg, and because of something I read on a website, I decided to try acupuncture.

After my second treatment with you, I felt a huge improvement in my leg. The neuropathic pain had diminished significantly. After a handful of treatments, including one with Xuguang, all of my pain disappeared completely.

I am 100 percent positive that it was the acupuncture treatments that brought me back to good health.

Before I came to New Realm Acupuncture, I had a lot of troubles. My legs were Numb below my knees, the Caves of my legs were very stiff and hard, the bottom of my feet “tingled” like Pins and Needles all the time, and my Nose ran almost continuously each morning and during meals. I am unable to write “Right Handed” without holding the pencil with my left hand to stabilize my pencil.

After the first 5 visits, my legs have felt much better. The Pins and Needles in the bottom of my feet has reduced to about 50%, but more treatments are needed. I have more control over my legs now, the numbness has been reduced too but again, more treatments are needed. My legs are NOT as stiff and the caves are not as hard as they were.

My Nose “dripping” has been reduced by at least 50% and it’s a good feeling.

I had experience with acupuncture before, so when the doctors were telling me I had cancerous nodules on my thyroid I immediately decided to try alternative treatment first. The statistics were low that the nodules actually would be cancer and I wanted to see if I could reduce the size or make them completely dissolve before having surgery to have my right lobe removed or possibly my entire thyroid. Removal of part or all of the thyroid requires medicine indefinitely. I searched in the yellow pages for an acupuncturist and New Realm was the first place I called. I consider myself lucky to have found a good acupuncturist.

After six weeks of acupuncture treatments, yoga, meditation, visualization and adopting a vegetarian diet, the size of the nodules reduced by half. I am on the right path and I feel with Dr. Gao and Jing’s help I will not lose my thyroid and my overall well being will be considerably better. Many thanks to them for their knowledge and compassion in dealing with me as a whole person and not just a symptom that walked through the door.

My name is Laura Williams. I have currently taken six acupuncture treatments. After receiving only three treatments, I began to notice a difference in my feet. The problem that I have is fasciitis and I also had a surgery performed on one foot. I also was diagnosed recently with neuropathy. I felt I was at the end of my rope. I was in constant pain and it became impossible to walk at any long distance. Going to the grocery store became a dreaded chore.

I now can go shopping without much pain due to this wonderful acupuncture treatment from New Realm Acupuncture Center.
